AION 2 Daevanion Boards Guide: Order, Points and Mistakes

Daevanion boards are node grids where you spend points to gain stats and skill levels. Global has 5 (Nezekan level 12, Zikel 20, Vaizel 30, Triniel 40, Azphel 45 for PvP) for 802 points to fill everything, but you will only have about 316 at level 45: open your rotation’s nodes first, then the big unique nodes.

How Daevanion boards work

Each board starts from a central node you already own. You buy nodes that touch one you have, one step at a time: it is a pathing puzzle where cheap nodes are the road to the strong ones. The cost depends on the node type.

NodeCostWhat it gives
Common (stats)1 pointA small stat: Critical Hit +5, Defense +30, Attack +3, HP +100
Rare (passive)2 points+1 level to one of your passives
Epic (active)3 points+1 level to one of your active skills
Unique (corner)4 pointsA big stat: +1.5% per node

Stats are the same for all eight classes: only the skill nodes differ. The four PvE boards share a single point pool (Daevanion crystals), while Azphel, the PvP board, has its own currency.

Zikel2013488Damage Boost, Damage Tolerance
Vaizel3013488Critical Damage Boost, Critical Damage Tolerance
Triniel40168116Multi-hit Chance, Multi-hit Resist
Azphel (PvP)45232152PvP Damage Boost, PvP Damage Tolerance

Filling all five boards costs 802 points: 570 for the four PvE boards and 232 for Azphel. On each of the first four, 22 nodes add a skill level: each of your 12 actives can gain +4 levels, and so can each of your 10 passives. Nezekan only boosts your first five passives and Zikel the last five, with two nodes each; Vaizel and Triniel boost all ten. Azphel has no skill nodes.

How many points will you really get?

SourcePointsDetail
Levels 12 to 451364 points per level from level 12
Your faction’s sealed dungeons12261 dungeons, 2 crystals each on the first clear
Your faction’s regional quests5858 quests, 1 crystal each
Total if you do everything≈ 316for 570 points to spend on the four PvE boards

So you will not finish the boards: you have to choose. Nightmare and Shugo Festival shops, fragments converted by Substance Morph and, at level 45, the opposing faction’s sealed dungeons and garrisons (through rifts) add points. Azphel points come from PvP: Abyss, arena and battlefield shops, and Monolith rewards.

These totals come from the Global client tables (version 2.0.3.0, read by MetaBot): they are estimates until NC publishes an official table.

In what order should you open nodes?

  1. Your rotation’s nodes

Spend your first points on the round nodes of the actives you press most: +2 is enough to take a skill from level 10 to 12 and open a second specialization.

  2. One big unique node

Draw a line to a corner: +1.5% of a key stat for 4 points. On Nezekan, aim for Cooldown Reduction or Combat Speed.

  3. The passive pair

Take the two nodes of your strongest passive along the way, on Nezekan and then Zikel.

  4. Repeat at each unlock

Zikel at level 20 for Damage Boost, Vaizel at 30 for Critical Damage Boost, Triniel at 40; keep spending Nezekan leftovers meanwhile.

  5. Azphel if you play PvP

It runs on its own crystals: open it as soon as they arrive, from level 45.

A unique corner costs 14 to 19 points including its path, depending on the board (MetaBot): pick the route that passes the most useful skill nodes.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Spreading points across every board: a corner you never reach gives nothing. Finish routes.
  • Ignoring the passive split: if your best passive is on Zikel, do not overinvest in Nezekan’s.
  • Treating Azphel as optional in PvP: its corners weigh heavily on survivability.
  • Skipping regional quests and sealed dungeons: they provide most of your crystals.
  • Taking Vaizel’s Critical Damage Tolerance and Triniel’s Multi-hit Resist in PvE: Kanon rates them worthless against monsters.
  • Following a Korean guide that routes through Ariel, Marchutan or Yustiel: those boards are not in the Global client.
  • Resetting without reading the confirmation: in Korea each refunded node costs 500 Kinah; the Global price is not published.

One point is still uncertain: Ariel, Korea’s level 45 PvE board, is missing from the Global client and the September test, yet Mein-MMO reported six boards on 29 September. Re-read the Daevanion window at level 45 before planning one more board.

To apply this order to your class, open your recommended build: it details the skill nodes and corners to aim for on each board. Mind your progression too: sealed dungeons and regional quests are done while leveling.

Takeaway: your rotation’s skill nodes first, big unique nodes next, Azphel for PvP. With about 316 points at level 45, the "perfect" board does not exist: go for the nodes that matter.

Frequently asked questions

How many Daevanion boards are there in AION 2 Global?

Five: Nezekan (level 12), Zikel (20), Vaizel (30), Triniel (40) and Azphel (45, PvP). Korea has eight, including Ariel, Marchutan and Yustiel, which are absent from the Global client.

How do you get Daevanion points?

By leveling (4 points per level from 12), through sealed dungeons (2 crystals each, 61 per faction) and regional quests (1 crystal each, 58 per faction). Azphel points come from PvP.

Can you reset your Daevanion nodes?

Yes, but in Korea each refunded node costs 500 Kinah. The Global price is not published: read the confirmation window before accepting.

Should you open the Azphel board?

For PvP, yes: it gives up to 6% PvP damage and tolerance. For PvE it is useless, and its crystals come from PvP.

Which board should you start with?

Nezekan, the only one available until level 20: take your rotation’s skill nodes, then a Cooldown Reduction or Combat Speed corner.
