A softer Global: the tuning seen in the test

The 17 and 18 September launch test revealed reduced values compared with Korea. They come from AION2Hub and the creator Madsin, read on the test client: they remain to be confirmed on the launch client.

  • Reduced soul binding bonuses: 5.5% versus 9.5% Damage Boost on an item level 70 armor, and no more built-in PvE bonuses on crafted gear.
  • Major Daevanion nodes at 2.5% Damage Boost versus 5%, minor nodes at +3 Attack versus +5, pet Smite capped at 3% versus 4.8%.
  • Higher base attack on weapons: 485 to 606 for an item level 102 sword versus 372 to 465 in Korea.
  • More accessible Conquests: Krao at 700 item level versus 1,000, but 7.5% Unique at Horn Den versus 10%.
  • Hidden cubes at 1,000 soul crystals versus 100, and the 90,000 Enhance Stone wing recipe absent. Players add that crafted wings can no longer be traded.

What does not change

  • One server per faction, each paired with an opposing server for the Abyss and rifts: the same principle exists in Korea.
  • The eight starting classes and their roles: Gladiator and Templar as tanks, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer and Spiritmaster for damage, Cleric and Chanter for support.
  • The core systems: Odyle Energy, expeditions, Transcendence, Daevanion, stigmas, Arcana, pets, wings, the Abyss and rifts. Only their tuning and scale change.
  • The business model: free to play, optional membership and cosmetics, with no skills to roll for.

What should arrive on Global

NC has published no Global roadmap. In a 16 June interview, its team spoke of a backlog of Korean content to roll out and a pace guided by progression data and player feedback, with a lag of about a year of content behind Korea. Here are the clues, from the most solid to the most fragile.

  1. Season 2, around 16 December (likely)

The client puts the end of Season 1, its rankings and the Daeva Pass on 15 and 16 December, then a Season 2 from 16 Dec to 28 Feb 2027 that adds the Subjugation mode. In Korea, Season 2 brought Dying Dramata's Nest, Cradle of Nihility, Submerged Life Temple, the Corroded Decontamination sanctuary, the middle Reshanta and equipment transfer.

  2. Seasons 3 and 4, early 2027 (client calendar)

From 28 Feb to 31 Mar, then 31 Mar to 27 Apr: 4-week seasons, so an accelerated pace. Nothing is confirmed by NC.

  3. Chapter 1: level 50, Brawler, Eltnen and Morheim (not for several months)

No date. One site mentions six months or more without citing a source. In Korea, the chapter arrived on 1 July, about five and a half months after Season 2 began.

  4. Cross-server world market

Announced for later, no date. NC removed the world market from the membership benefit list before launch.

  5. Heroic gear

Ruled out for at least the first season: NC sees it as the best choice to avoid a single-minded hunt for those pieces.

None of this is an NC promise. Dates come from the client or estimates, and the calendar may shift with player feedback.

How to read a Korean guide on Global

  • Numbers change: enhancement caps, item level thresholds, drop rates, prices and slot counts are not the same.
  • Names do too: the Brawler is called 권성 in Korea, and translated guides swing between several English names.
  • Progression orders look alike: belt and amulet, Arcana, Daevanion, Conquests then Transcendence remain valid.
  • Check every figure on your sheet and on the dungeon's entry screen before relying on it.

Frequently asked questions

Will Global get the level 50 cap?

Not at launch: the level cap is 45 in Season 1. NC has given no date for level 50, which Korea has had since 1 July 2026.

When does the Brawler class come to Global?

It hasn't been announced. Global launches eight classes; the Brawler, Korea's ninth, is part of Chapter 1, which NC hasn't dated for the West.

Does my Korean or Taiwanese progress transfer?

No. NC's official FAQ states that no progress from Taiwan or Korea carries over to Global.

Are groups bigger on Global than in Korea?

Not anymore. Global plays at 5 in expeditions and Transcendence and 10 in Sanctuary, and Korea adopted that format on 1 July 2026.

Can I follow a Korean guide?

For the order of steps, yes. For the numbers, no: caps, thresholds, drop rates and prices differ. Check in your game.
